Correctional Nursing - Night Shift RN Jobs

Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to incarcerated individuals, ensuring health needs are met in a secure environment. Assess and monitor patients' health status regularly, documenting findings accurately in the electronic medical records. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with facility protocols and state regulations. Collaborate with correctional staff and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Maintain safety and security procedures, including adherence to strict no-phones policy and facility security measures.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution. Valid Louisiana RN license. BLS certification. CPR certification. Minimum of 2 years psychiatric or correctional nursing experience. Ability to adhere to strict no-phones policy. Willingness to go through facility scanner multiple times daily. Excellent communication skills. Physical stamina to handle rotating night shifts. Ability to work in a secure, controlled environment.
