Position Overview: As a Senior Product Manager, Patient Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of patient-focused marketing initiatives that help patients and caregivers better understand, access, and engage with innovative therapies. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, managing programs from concept through implementation while partnering closely with cross-functional teams and agency partners. This role is ideal for a marketer who enjoys both big-picture planning and tactical execution, thrives in a fast-paced launch environment, and is passionate about improving the patient journey. The Senior Product Manager will contribute to patient marketing strategy and lead initiatives that support commercial objectives across marketed and launch-stage products.
Key Responsibilities: Lead complex, cross-functional patient and caregiver marketing initiatives from strategy through execution. Manage agency and internal stakeholder relationships to ensure strategic alignment and flawless delivery of patient marketing programs. Contribute to annual brand planning, including patient strategy, positioning, messaging, and tactical execution. Develop and manage budgets, scopes of work, project timelines, contracts, and vendor relationships. Support market research initiatives to uncover actionable patient and caregiver insights. Lead promotional review processes for patient-facing materials and collaborate with legal, regulatory, and medical stakeholders to gain approvals. Develop core patient launch materials, including educational resources, caregiver support tools, digital content, and patient engagement programs. Partner with digital marketing stakeholders to ensure alignment across social media, websites, paid media, CRM, and other omnichannel initiatives. Establish and track KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of patient marketing programs. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, field teams, market access, patient services, and advocacy partners to better understand patient needs and opportunities. Maintain expertise in disease state dynamics, competitive landscape, customer insights, and market trends. Communicate effectively across departments to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and project execution. Support additional commercial and marketing initiatives as needed.
Qualifications: Required Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device marketing experience; or equivalent combination of advanced degree and relevant experience. Minimum 6+ years of experience in patient marketing and/or HCP marketing. Experience developing and executing digital marketing initiatives, including social, web, paid media, and omnichannel programs. Experience with CRM strategy, implementation, and performance measurement. Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills. Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Strong collaboration and relationship-building capabilities. Proven ability to lead initiatives and influence cross-functional stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, and Word).Preferred Master's degree in a related discipline. PharmD or other advanced healthcare-related degree. Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device product launches. Prior commercial sales experience within life sciences. Experience partnering with patient advocacy organizations and patient communities. Strong understanding of patient engagement strategy and the evolving healthcare landscape. Salary and Benefits
