Retail Store Manager – Music Retail

Music & Arts seeks a Store Leader to drive sales, customer service, and lesson growth in our student-focused music retail environment. You will lead day-to-day store operations, coach a small team, and ensure an exceptional experience for students, parents, and educators. Responsibilities include meeting sales and rental goals, managing lesson enrollment, overseeing inventory and merchandising, scheduling, and basic P&L awareness. You’ll build strong relationships with local schools and the community, maintain visual and operational standards, and support a culture that champions music education and inclusive, performance-driven teamwork. Lead daily retail store operations to support music education and customer satisfaction Drive sales, rentals, and lesson enrollment to meet or exceed store targets Hire, train, and coach store staff to deliver excellent service to students, parents, and educators Manage scheduling, basic P&L awareness, and reporting to ensure operational efficiency Oversee inventory levels, merchandising, and visual presentation standards Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and student-focused store culture Build and maintain relationships with local schools and community partners Resolve customer issues and ensure high service standards across all touchpoints Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures Support marketing and in-store events that promote music education and lessons Retail management Sales and upselling Team leadership Customer service Store operations Inventory management Scheduling and workforce planning Basic P&L and KPI analysis Merchandising and visual standards Community and school relationship building Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Retail management or multi-department supervision experience Background in music performance, education, or retail strongly preferred Familiarity with band and orchestra instruments and accessories Experience managing sales goals and KPIs Ability to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends
