Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, and Individuals.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services for closely held businesses and business owners.
- Supervise tax compliance engagements from planning through completion.
- Review work prepared by junior staff and provide coaching and technical guidance.
- Research and interpret current federal tax laws and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships.
- Collaborate with partners and other professionals to develop practical tax strategies.
- Must-Have Skills:8+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- Extensive experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns.
- In‑depth knowledge of current federal tax laws affecting privately held businesses and owners.
- Proven ability to supervise engagements and review the work of junior staff.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- CPA license preferred (or equivalent extensive experience).Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with trust and estate taxation, including estate and gift tax matters.
- Familiarity with tax issues for not‑for‑profit organizations.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax planning and consulting for complex structures.
- Strong staff mentoring and leadership abilities.
- Experience with multi‑state (SALT) tax compliance and tax resolution projects.
