Assistant Nurse Manager

Hartford Healthcare seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to support leadership on a busy clinical unit. In this role, you’ll coordinate staffing, oversee daily operations, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Support nurse manager in day-to-day unit operations and staffing coordination Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care Assist with patient flow, admissions, discharges, and bed management Monitor clinical quality, safety standards, and regulatory compliance Participate in scheduling, performance reviews, and staff education Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Assist with implementing evidence-based practices and process improvements Respond to and help resolve patient and family concerns Support onboarding, training, and competency development of nursing staff Contribute to departmental planning, reporting, and quality initiatives Clinical nursing practice Patient assessment and triage Staff supervision and leadership Care coordination and patient flow management Electronic health records (EHR) systems Quality and patient safety management Regulatory and Joint Commission compliance Scheduling and staffing management Conflict resolution and de-escalation Education and competency training Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in state of practice BLS certification ACLS certification (preferred based on unit) BSN degree or higher in Nursing Prior charge nurse or leadership experience in acute care Specialty nursing certification (e.g., CMSRN, PCCN, CCRN) preferred
