Project Manager
Datamaxx Applied Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead customer implementations and modernization projects within the public safety and criminal justice space. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution and works closely with internal engineering, support, deployment, and leadership teams to ensure successful delivery of mission-critical systems and services. Our projects include CJIS-compliant cloud and on-premise deployments, system integrations, message switch modernization, NIEM XML initiatives, SSO/SAML integrations, and operational upgrades for state and federal justice agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple customer projects from initiation through closeout
- Coordinate project schedules, deliverables, risks, budgets, and resources
- Lead customer meetings, status reporting, and implementation planning
- Track project scope and manage change requests
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, deployment, QA, support, and cloud operations
- Assist with implementation strategies, testing coordination, deployment planning, and customer acceptance activities
- Create and Maintain project documentation and reporting
- Ensure projects align with contractual requirements, security expectations, and operational timelines
- Support customer relationships through proactive communication and issue management
What We’re Looking For:
- Project Management experience in cloud, government, or technical implementation environments
- Strong customer-facing communication and organizational skills
- Experience managing complex technical or infrastructure-related projects
- Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced operational environments
- Experience working with government or public safety agencies is highly preferred
- Familiarity with CJIS, criminal justice systems, message switching, or secure cloud environments is a plusExperience with Azure, AWS, SAML/SSO, or enterprise integrations is a plus
- Technical Skills
- Experience managing enterprise software implementation projects
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted and SaaS environments
- Ability to coordinate technical teams including engineering, development, QA, and support
- Understanding of software deployment lifecycles, testing, and change management
- Experience using project management and collaboration tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Teams, etc.)Ability to read & understand technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans
- Familiarity with integrations, APIs, SSO/SAML, or secure authentication concepts is a plusExperience working in CJIS-regulated, government, or highly secure environments preferred
- Experience administering and deploying solutions using IISAdditional Requirements
- Ability to travel approximately 20–30% as needed
- Must pass background requirements associated with criminal justice/public safety environments
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered
