Mental Health Aide

What You'll Do: Supervise and support Veterans in a structured, therapeutic residential setting Monitor safety, perform patient rounding, and document observations Communicate changes to clinical staff; assist with resident intake/discharge Lead or support group/recreational therapy activities Maintain compliance with infection control and safety guidelines Work closely with nursing/behavioral health teams

Education: High school diploma required; 2 years of college with 12+ semester hours in health, behavioral, or social sciences strongly preferred Certification: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to start. ACLS may be needed for some roles

Experience: At least 1 year in direct care or residential/rehabilitation patient care preferred References: Provide 3 references (must include a supervisor)Computer literacy and willingness to complete all VA-required and Electronic Health Record (EHR) training upon hire Bilingual and prior VA/patient experience are a plus!
