About the Role:
* We are seeking a Project Manager – 2D Design to lead and coordinate our 2D design team supporting large-scale semiconductor construction projects in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a technical project management role that requires both project coordination skills and hands-on experience with engineering/design drawings. The ideal candidate must be able to read, interpret, review, and mark up 2D drawings and have practical experience using AutoCAD, or comparable design software. The Project Manager will serve as a key connection between the 2D design team, engineering teams, field personnel, and project stakeholders to ensure drawings, design deliverables, site conditions, and project schedules remain aligned. *
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and coordinate the daily activities, priorities, workload, and deliverables of the 3D design/BIM team. Review 2D engineering/design drawings for accuracy, constructability, coordination, and compliance with project requirements. Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, specifications, redlines, and other technical documentation. Use Revit and/or AutoCAD to review, mark up, revise, or support the development of drawings when needed. Provide technical guidance to designers and assist the team in resolving drawing, modeling, and design coordination issues. Coordinate design schedules and deliverables to ensure alignment between drawings, engineering requirements, construction schedules, and actual site progress. Work closely with engineers, field supervisors, construction teams, and project stakeholders to identify and resolve design conflicts. Review design changes and field conditions and ensure necessary updates are accurately reflected in drawings and models. Monitor drawing revisions, document control, and version management to maintain accurate and current project information. Track project milestones, design progress, outstanding issues, and team deliverables, and provide regular status updates to management. Participate in project coordination meetings and communicate technical and scheduling issues with internal and external stakeholders. Support continuous improvement of design workflows, drawing standards, quality control processes, and team efficiency. *
Qualifications:
Required*Professional experience in engineering design, BIM, CAD drafting, architecture, construction design, or a related technical field. Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, review, and mark up engineering and construction drawings. Hands-on experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD, or comparable 2D/3D design software. Previous experience creating, modifying, reviewing, or coordinating 2D/3D drawings or BIM models. Ability to identify drawing discrepancies, design conflicts, and coordination issues and work with technical teams to resolve them. Experience coordinating project schedules, design deliverables, priorities, and multiple stakeholders. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with designers, engineers, field teams, and management. *Preferred*Experience leading or coordinating a BIM, CAD, engineering design, or 3D modeling team. Experience with Revit-based BIM workflows and multidisciplinary design coordination. Experience with Navisworks, clash detection, or BIM coordination tools. Experience in semiconductor fabs, high-tech facilities, data centers, advanced manufacturing, or large-scale industrial construction projects. Familiarity with construction drawing workflows, RFIs, redlines, as-built drawings, design revisions, and document control. Experience coordinating between design teams and field/construction teams.
