This position is ideal for a consultant who has integrated AI into client projects and can showcase how AI tools have boosted analysis, decision-making, implementation, or operational outcomes. The ideal candidate should have a background in an established consulting firm that focuses on operations improvement and procurement or strategic sourcing projects. This role is remote with the requirement of easy access to a major airport. Travel typically commences on Sundays or Mondays during active projects, with consultants returning on Thursdays and working remotely on Fridays.
Responsibilities:
- Lead operations and procurement enhancement projects at client sites
- Analyze performance in manufacturing, plant operations, warehouses, supply chain, equipment, and sourcing
- Utilize AI tools to uncover opportunities, speed up analysis, solve operational issues, and aid in implementation
- Create actionable suggestions backed by thorough operational and financial analysis
- Collaborate with client executives and frontline staff to implement improvements
- Oversee project workstreams, deliverables, timelines, and measurable outcomes
Requirements:
- Recent involvement in a well-known operations-focused consulting firm
- Demonstrated experience in procurement or strategic sourcing consulting
- Hands-on experience in enhancing operations within manufacturing, supply chain, plants, warehouses, or distribution settings
- Proven track record of applying AI in consulting projects, operational analysis, or business enhancement initiatives
- Strong analytical, client-facing, and implementation capabilities
- Capability to travel around 80% during active projects
- Experience with corporate-only, GPO, contract, or independent consulting does not satisfy the consulting background required for this role
- Must be legally eligible to work in the US without need for employer sponsorship
