Lafayette, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an experienced President to lead a growing organization through its next stage of profitable, sustainable growth. This hands-on executive leadership position will have responsibility across the organization, partnering closely with ownership and the Board while leading operational and functional leaders. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial and strategic business acumen, operational leadership, commercial judgment, and a proven ability to develop people and organizations.
Essential Duties:
  • Provide overall strategic and operational leadership as the organization scales from approximately $50M toward $100M in annual revenue.
  • Translate growth strategy into clear priorities, operating plans, financial targets, measurable performance expectations, and organizational accountability.
  • Lead and develop senior leaders across Operations, Accounting/Finance, Human Resources, Safety, and other business functions.
  • Evaluate the organizational structure and build the leadership infrastructure, systems, processes, and resources necessary to support continued growth.
  • Establish a culture in which leaders are empowered to make decisions, take ownership of results, and effectively manage their respective functions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of financial performance, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, working capital, margins, forecasting, budgeting, capital expenditures, and profitability.
  • Provide informed oversight of accounting and finance functions, ensuring financial reporting, controls, processes, and leadership mature alongside the organization.
  • Drive operational performance by establishing and monitoring meaningful measures for productivity, project execution, labor and equipment utilization, job profitability, customer performance, safety, and other key operating drivers.
  • Independently evaluate financial information, identify inconsistencies and areas of concern, and challenge assumptions when necessary.
  • Use financial and operational data to guide decisions regarding growth, investment, staffing, pricing, capital expenditures, and overall business performance.
  • Participate in significant customer relationships, contract and rate negotiations, and other high-level commercial discussions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, profitability, consistency, and organizational performance.
  • Maintain strong standards for safety, compliance, workforce management, and operational execution.
  • Preserve the entrepreneurial strengths of the organization while introducing the structure, discipline, and professional management necessary to support continued growth.
  • Build leadership depth and succession capabilities by developing functional leaders who can independently manage their areas of responsibility.
  • Partner closely with ownership and the Board to establish clear roles, decision-making authority, communication expectations, and an effective working relationship between ownership and management.
  • Establish meaningful financial and operational targets and ensure leaders understand the financial impact of their decisions.
  • Evaluate job/project costing, pricing, margins, overhead, operational costs, investment priorities, and return on investment to support informed business decisions.
Requirements/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience with significant operational and enterprise-level responsibility.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and translate findings into business strategy and action.
  • Demonstrated experience using financial information to establish performance targets, improve margins, optimize overhead and operating costs, evaluate investments, and guide resource allocation.
  • Significant P&L ownership with demonstrated responsibility for improving overall business performance.
  • Experience leading field-based, project-driven, or industrial operations.
  • Strong understanding of labor productivity, equipment utilization, job costing, project execution, safety, customer requirements, and margin performance.
  • Experience partnering effectively with accounting and finance leaders while independently evaluating financial information and challenging assumptions when appropriate.
  • Experience within industrial construction, pipeline, energy, EPC, equipment, utility construction, or a closely related operating environment.
  • Demonstrated experience helping scale an organization in or beyond the approximately $50M–$100M+ revenue range.
  • Experience leading multiple functional areas at the enterprise level.
  • Demonstrated success developing senior leaders and building organizational leadership depth.
  • Experience within a privately held or family-owned organization strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with owners and a Board while maintaining appropriate executive authority, boundaries, and decision-making discipline.
  • Strong commercial judgment with experience managing significant customer relationships, contract negotiations, pricing, and other high-level commercial matters.
  • Highly analytical, financially sophisticated, and capable of understanding the business at the operational level.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate organizational needs several years ahead.
  • Steady, decisive, and effective under pressure.
  • Approachable leadership style with the ability to build credibility from field-level employees through executive leadership and the Board.
  • Ability to respectfully challenge senior leaders and ownership when necessary and confidently make and defend difficult decisions.
  • Strong people-development skills with the ability to build capable, accountable leaders throughout the organization.
  • Ability to introduce organizational discipline, clarity, and consistency without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of an executive leadership position in office, operational, and field environments.
  • Ability to travel to operational sites, customer locations, and business meetings as required.
  • Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods while performing job duties.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with employees, customers, ownership, Board members, and other business stakeholders.
  • Ability to safely access field and industrial work environments as necessary to understand operations and business performance.
