Job Description The Shop Mechanic services industrial machinery in a shop-based environment. Working as part of a maintenance team this role manages mixed work-order priorities through equipment diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and mechanical repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose issues in industrial machinery primarily forklifts.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Complete mechanical repairs.
- Remove and install engines
- Hydraulic repair
- Brake jobs
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Mast repair
- Fuel systems
- Accurately complete work orders and timecards
- Perform rental equipment checks
- Clean and maintain work area
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience of equipment or automotive repair.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment repair.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
