RN Emergency Room Seasonal

Medical City Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. In this fast-paced role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions. Responsibilities include triage, patient assessment, administering medications, implementing physician orders, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and educating patients and families. Ideal candidates are calm under pressure, strong communicators, and committed to patient safety and best practices. Current RN license and BLS/ACLS required; ED experience preferred. Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to emergency department patients across all acuity levels Triage, assess, and continuously monitor patients, documenting conditions and responses to treatment Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with ED protocols and physician orders Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans Operate and interpret monitoring equipment, EKGs, and emergency medical devices Respond rapidly to code situations, traumas, and other life‑threatening emergencies Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Support quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and evidence‑based practice projects in the ED Precept and mentor new nurses, supporting a culture of teamwork, learning, and innovation Emergency nursing care Triage and rapid assessment ACLS protocols PALS/ENPC pediatric emergency care IV insertion and medication administration Cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation Trauma and code response Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Infection control and patient safety Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN license in applicable state BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) PALS or ENPC TNCC or equivalent trauma certification preferred CEN certification preferred Prior acute care or ED experience
