Role: Data Architect / Database Migration Engineer Fulltime/W2 - Infinite Computer Solutions Remote Role We are seeking a hands-on Data Architect / Database Migration Engineer to support an enterprise on-premises data center migration. You will lead SQL Server database migration, validation, performance, and stabilization for business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and migrate SQL Server databases and dependencies Design target database architecture and migration strategies Execute backup/restore, replication, validation, reconciliation, cutover, and rollback Develop T-SQL/SQL scripts and automation Improve database performance, reliability, monitoring, and recovery Collaborate with application, infrastructure, QA, security, and operations teams Track delivery and changes using Jira and Service Now Requirements 8+ years in database engineering, architecture, or migration Expert-level SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query tuning Experience with data center/infrastructure database migrations Strong knowledge of data validation, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and production support Experience with Jira and Service Now
Nice to Have:
Fintech/payments/banking experience, VMware, Windows Server, Splunk, Dynatrace, or Moogsoft.
