Job Duties:
Perform thorough patient evaluations including physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical records
Assist in diagnosing surgical issues through analysis of imaging tests and lab results
Collaborate intimately with surgeons to formulate and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
Support surgical operations through room preparation, patient positioning, and instrument handling
Administer exemplary preoperative and postoperative care including medication delivery, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education
Education Requirements:
Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
Completion of clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgery is highly preferred
Certifications:
Needed Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certification mandatory
State licensure as a Physician Assistant (or eligibility)
Preferred Skills:
Thorough understanding of surgical procedures and adherence to sterile techniques
Demonstrated ability to evaluate diagnostic results and contribute to critical clinical decisions
