Hedge Fund Accountant Key Responsibilities & DutiesLead month-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Analyze and prepare monthly reconciliations for general ledger accounts and fund balances. Calculate subadvisor management and incentive fees with precision and attention to detail. Perform shadow accounting to reconcile internal reporting with fund administrator records. Prepare and review wires, managing cash activity and ensuring effective cash flow operations. Evaluate and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Assist in preparing supporting documentation for annual audits and manager statements. Collaborate on ad hoc projects involving various organizational functions to drive innovation.

Hedge Fund Accountant Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or related field required. Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience; 10 years preferred. Strong knowledge of US GAAP standards and financial services industry practices. Proficiency in managing reconciliations, audits, and financial statement preparation. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
