We are looking for an AP Production Associate to join our Finance team and help us as we continue to grow and scale! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience with all aspects of operational accounting for a growing retail apparel company. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running as our team tackles expansion. Essentials Functions: Own the accounts payable process related to our production vendors including vendor relationship management, vendor set-up, and invoicing Receive all invoices from Vendors Obtain approval from Internal Production team Reconcile & Open all invoices against POs in Netsuite Schedule invoices for payments internally Communicate wire confirmations with vendors once paid Mark all bills as paid in our system Monitor internal purchase orders to support budgeting, cash management functions, and month-end close process Maintain forecasted outlays for production based on purchase orders in our system Work with production team to obtain any cash outlays not included on POs (i.e. deposits, development costs, etc.)Manage daily order-to-cash operations (i.e. invoicing, statement of account reconciliation, and payables aging analysis) Manage our contract manufacturers, including maintaining a record of invoice status, preparation and reconciliation of our statement of account, work with our internal team toschedule payments based on rolling weekly due dates and communicating directly with contract manufacturer accounting regarding disputes, short payments, etc. Analyze excess and obsolescence charges and standard cost variances including both finished goods and freight in/out standard cost variances ensuring accurate calculation and reporting of cost of goods sold Provide data and analytics support to the Finance team as needed.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business or other relevant field of study
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting and / or analytical finance role.
- Exceptional attention to detail, excellent written and verbal skills, excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excel proficiency
- Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast paced, hyper-growth environment
- Desire to continuously improve and a positive, "can-do" approach
- Experience with NetSuiteStrong knowledge of US GAAPStrong interpersonal and team building skills - ability to work with a diverse team and impart change across functional and business boundaries
