Dispute Resolution Specialist IThis team member will support the resolution of warranty-related inquiries and assist in the administration of the warranty process. The role requires a foundational understanding of the 2-10 warranties and a strong commitment to customer service. The Dispute Resolution Specialist I will work with close supervision to develop skills in case management, communication, and problem-solving, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the department.
Responsibilities: Provide courteous and professional customer service to internal and external clients with close supervision. Respond to basic inquiries via phone and email by gathering and sharing accurate information. Assist in managing case files by collecting documentation and supporting the resolution process. Learn to interpret warranty terms and conditions to support resolution of construction-related concerns. Document customer interactions clearly and accurately in the system. Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior team members or supervisors. Support the team in maintaining service level agreements and timely follow-ups. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to build knowledge and skills. Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, file organization, and correspondence preparation. May assume other duties as applied.
Qualifications
Required Skills: Strong desire to learn and grow within a customer service and warranty administration environment. Basic critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Professional demeanor and willingness to work collaboratively with team members.
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with construction or warranty-related terminology. Experience in a customer service or administrative support role.
Physical Role Requirements: Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment. Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred Minimum Experience required (number of years necessary to perform role): 1+ years of office work experience preferred
