Job Description: Exciting Opportunity for Experienced RN - Level 1 Trauma Center!
Job Description
Shift: 12H Nights (7p-7a); Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Required
Patient Ratio: 1:2, occasionally 1:1Unit: 18 Beds
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3+ years, including prior travel experience in a busy hospital.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. NIHSS preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency with ventilators, managing pressors, and hemodynamic monitoring (PAC, CVP, arterial lines).Experience with Sheaths, IABP, Impella, CRRT, and patient sedation/paralysis.
Ability to titrate drips, including epinephrine, norepinephrine, vasopressin, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, and cardene.
Unit Environment:
- Floating: Must be flexible to float to similar units.
- Support Staff: Minimal Patient Care Assistant support (1 for 18 beds, if available).In-House Coverage: Hospitalist & Intensivist available 24/7; RT available in ICU 24/7.Monitoring: RNs interpret their own telemetry strips; HP monitors in use.
- Scheduling:
- Self-Scheduling: Available, filling open holes, and accommodating requests where possible.
Weekend Requirements:
- Every other weekend, with occasional exceptions based on staffing.
- Orientation: Two 12-hour shifts for unit-specific training.
- Dress Code:
- Teal tops and bottoms; solid or coordinating non-terrycloth jackets.
