Description:
American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring BLS, CST certification, and cardiovascular/vascular surgical experience. Details Short term acute care hospital setting with 426 staffed bedsCVOR unit supporting cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical cases Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM-3:30 PMCardiac call and weekend coverage required Uses Epic charting system Part of Yale New Haven Health System with free parking
Requirements:
- BLS and CST certification required
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required (1.5 years considered for candidates with Level I trauma or travel experience)
- Travel experience required
- Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Experience with vascular procedures such as AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, EVAR, and femoral popliteal bypass
- Experience with cardiovascular procedures such as CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, and VADExperience with thoracic procedures such as VATS, thoracotomy, and mediastinoscopy
- Trauma case experience including gunshot/stab wounds and MVA preferred1 professional reference required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information:
- Participate in complex cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical cases within a CVOR setting
- Support trauma and transplant surgical cases as needed
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations acceptedCOVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only
- Local candidates not accepted if residing within 75 miles of the facility
- Former staff must be separated from employment for at least 2 years to be eligible to return as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
