Job Description
Job Summary:
The Water Tech Analytical Instruments product line business has an opportunity for aSales Account Manager for the Southwest territory (Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico). Theperson in this role will develop strong partnerships with our life sciences customers to expand ourrobust install base, generate new sales opportunities, and facilitate the success of our end users, traveling to regional client sites in the territory. You will present our industry leading solutions, utilizeyour commercial expertise to expand networks at regional conferences, and collaborate with our cross-functional teams to support customer accounts. You will be responsible for selling include total organic carbon (TOC), conductivity, endotoxin, and rapid bioburden. Our commercial group is looking to add a team member who will achieve yearly sales targets, grow the business through customer focus and develop professionallythrough internal and external training opportunities. Key Characteristics Self-motivated, organized, and customer focused Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation)Driven to succeed and grow in a high-paced, commercial environment Duties & Responsibilities Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success Develop positive relationships with clients Act as the point of contact and handle customers' individual needs Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner Report on the status of accounts and transactions Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives. Monitor sales metric (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)Attend company sponsored trade shows within the territory and bring awareness to local or regional conferences that would help create sales opportunities in the territory Have a basic technical understanding of our competitors' products and sales distribution Perform equipment demonstrations independently to support instrumentation sales and maintain own demo instruments Travel within territory to customer sites to develop and maintain business, perform equipment demos as needed, and assist in the sale of aftermarket products
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent communication skills Experience with analytical instruments preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciencesindustries Strong interpersonal and customer focused skills In-depth knowledge of the industrial applications for product lines and markets Excellent problem-solving skills Self-motivated Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Life Sciences discipline At least 5 years capital equipment sales work experience or equivalent required Experiencing working or selling capital equipment in a GMP life sciences environment
Preferred:
QC analytical testing experience (e.g., endotoxin and microbiology) in a life sciences laboratory
