Serving as the lead M&A deal attorney, the full-time New York Licensed M&A Attorney will support the Corporate Development department by managing U.S. and international transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting legal due diligence, and collaborating with various specialists in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
Draft and negotiate definitive transaction documents, including sale and purchase agreements and confidentiality agreements
Conduct legal due diligence on target companies and summarize findings for the Corporate Development department
Coordinate and oversee the work of outside M&A counsel while providing legal advice on Corporate Development matters
Required qualifications:
At least five years of experience in mergers and acquisitions
Undergraduate and J.D. degrees from well-recognized institutions
Top law firm experience focused on public and private M&A transactions
Diverse M&A transactional experience with a deep understanding of the end-to-end M&A process
Strong project-management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
