About Us:
Blue Qubit is Silicon Valley’s first quantum algorithms lab, working at the frontier of quantum applications research for both the NISQ and fault-tolerant eras. Our mission is to achieve true quantum advantage — enabling quantum computers to solve scientific and commercial problems that are beyond the reach of even the most powerful classical supercomputers. Based in San Francisco, our team develops next-generation quantum algorithms, software, and computational tools designed to unlock practical value from quantum computing.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and test novel quantum algorithms on state-of-the-art quantum computers, with the goal of demonstrating scientifically and commercially relevant quantum advantage. Develop and benchmark algorithms for problems where quantum computers can outperform the best available classical methods and supercomputing resources. Collaborate with team members across shared research projects and codebases Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Ph. D. in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field. At least five years of research experience, with a strong publication record in quantum computing or a closely related area. Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++, with experience using quantum computing frameworks and software tools. Experience running experiments on NISQ quantum hardware.
Nice to Have:
Experience with quantum error mitigation techniques. Experience with classical quantum simulation methods, including tensor networks, MPS, and PEPS.Experience applying artificial intelligence (AI) to scientific discovery.
