Description:
American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographic Technologist for a Sleep Center requiring RPSGT or RST certification and at least one year of sleep lab experience. Details Work in a hospital-based Sleep Center performing in-center and home sleep apnea testing (HSAT) Rotating 4x10 night shift schedule, 40 hours per week Rotating weekend shifts or all weekends if desired No major holiday coverage required
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of relevant sleep lab experience
- Associate's Degree or certificate program completion in Polysomnographic Technology required
- Current BLS certification requiredRPSGT (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists) or RST (American Board of Sleep Medicine) certification required
- License required if applicable
- Proficiency in oximetry, actigraphy, MSLT, and MWT procedures
- Experience with sleep/wake stage scoring and clinical event identification
- Skilled in physiologic and behavioral data correlation and equipment calibration
Additional Information:
- Perform PAP interface fitting, desensitization, and patient education
- Prepare patients for testing and document observations per policy
- Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to professional guidelines
- Perform equipment cleaning, disinfection, and quality control per policy
- Support quality and performance improvement initiatives
- Provide age-specific care for all populations served in the Sleep LabMaintain effective, professional communication with staff, patients, and providersRTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
