Welder

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Promotes, executes and adheres to the company's health, safety, and environmental program. Sets and operates welding machine for applicable welding processes (stick, short arc, flux core, tig, fill and cap, automatic, etc). Performs welding processes assigned for either structural, pipe, and/or automatic welding projects. Passes required welding test in accordance to AWS D1.1 latest edition. Maintains quality of welding that can pass NDT testing procedures. Performs welding assignments in a safe and efficient manner practicing safety at all times. Operates applicable hand tools (chipping hammers, grinders, etc). Operates high reaches or man lifts are required when having to perform welding assignments above ground level. Follows instructions, written and/or verbal, with little or no supervision. Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. Performs other construction duties or task as required based on company's needs.
