The hospital is part of Montefiore Einstein, a premier academic health system serving more than 3 million people living in the New York City region and Hudson Valley. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Occupational Therapist to join our staff and be part of the expanding team at Mount Vernon Hospital
Job Summary: Provides direct patient care including evaluation and treatment as outlined by the guidelines of the NYS Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Hospital Policy. Provides daily clinical mentorship to OTA's, and students.
Essential Functions:
  • Provides direct patient care including evaluation, treatment, equipment assessment and documentation
  • Maintains own patient schedules and utilizes time efficiently.
  • Maintains accurate patient records, statistical reports and other documentation related to patient care
  • Attends departmental educational activities including in-services, and continuing education
Required Background:
  • Bachelors' Degree required in Occupational Therapy required. Masters preferredNYS OT License and current registration required.
  • Familiar with therapeutic equipment
  • Prior work experience in a similar role preferred
  • We provide excellent benefits through 1199. Rate of pay will vary based on years of experience.
