Production Assistant at Mare Island Brewing Co. Ever wondered how people get their start in the brewing industry? This is it. Mare Island Brewing Co. in Vallejo, CA is looking for a Production Assistant to join our production team. No professional brewing experience needed. We will train you. Our Coal Shed Brewery sits on the waterfront of the former Mare Island Naval Shipyard. In 2017 we turned this historic Navy coal shed into an 8,000 sq. ft. brewery, taproom, and event space. We also run the Vallejo Ferry Terminal Taproom and the First Street Taphouse in Benicia, and we self-distribute across the Bay to over 350 active accounts. SF Gate readers voted us "Best Brewery of the Bay Area" in 2026.We brew on a 15 bbl Prospero brewhouse and a 1 bbl Blichmann pilot system, and we can on a CODI 6-head counter-pressure line with a depalletizer and in-line labeler. At a brewery our size, you will learn every step: brewhouse, cellar, and packaging. There is real room to grow into a Brewer role.
