Job Description:
- Maintain, update, and secure servers databases and installed applications on servers at college
- Expert-level desktop application support for faculty and staff Windows, Mac OS, & Linux platforms
- Maintain file shares and computers connected to the college's network; Respond to IT help desk issues.
- Work with faculty and staff toPerform and maintain server backups
- Maintain inventory control for IT assets in college
- Install, upgrade, repair, and/or modify local area network file servers; configure and connect customers, printers, and other devices to network servers; Monitor the assigned system and/or network to track operating efficiency and resolve potential problems before they occur Qualifications
- Qualifications Needed to Perform Job Effectively:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of audio processing and streaming software, hardware and applications preferred.
- Considerable PC and Mac desktop support experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience in administering large and complex networks and supporting a wide range of customers.
- Experience in maintaining, updating, and securing servers; installing applications on servers
