American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Night Shift Neonatal Intensive Care Unit position requiring 3+ years of recent NICU experience and an active AK RN license. DetailsNICU setting caring for transition patients and level 2 NICU acuity patients Admits NICU patients and performs newborn resuscitations as needed Attends deliveries as a NICU RNNight shift, 12-hour shifts over an 8-week contract Weekend requirement of 5 shifts within a 6-week schedule Holiday coverage per unit needs Floating to all departments when necessary May have mandatory on-call shifts
Requirements:
- Active AK RN license required (or candidate must apply within 24 hours of acceptance)NRP and STABLE certifications required 3+ years of recent NICU experience required
- Must be able to care for transition patients and level 2 NICU acuity patients
- Must have experience admitting NICU patients and resuscitating newborns
- Must have experience attending deliveries as a NICU RNAdditional Information
- Free private 1-bedroom housing provided for 1 occupant, pets not permitted
- Optional housing allowance available for candidates who choose not to use provided housing
- A vehicle is recommended for transportation due to winter conditions; car allowance available
- Fingerprints must be mailed to the Alaska Department of Health and Services within 48 hours of offer acceptance
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be requested, including a maximum of 4 weekend shifts, and must be requested at time of submittal
- Candidate's permanent residence must be 50+ miles outside of Fairbanks
- Flu vaccination required with religious or medical exemption requests reviewed
