Mechanical Assembler

Mechanical Assembler Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Mechanical Assemblers for a leading packaging machinery manufacturing company in Alexandria, MN. In this role, you'll help build and assemble innovative automated machinery while working closely with engineering, production, and customer teams. If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work, troubleshooting equipment, and building complex machines, this could be a great career opportunity. Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and some electrical assembly operations on packaging machinery Read and interpret assembly drawings while adhering to customer specifications and quality standards Fit, align, and adjust machine components to ensure proper machine operation Install and maintain mechanical systems including lube lines, gearboxes, motors, chains, sprockets, and drive lines Assist with machine testing, final adjustments, and checkout processes Support customer installation, startup, and training activities for machinery and systems Become forklift certified and safely operate equipment as needed 2-year technical degree and 2-4 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop electrical skills Proven mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to read and follow assembly drawings and technical documentation Professional communication skills with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Leadership potential and ability to motivate and collaborate with others Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills Enjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
