Controller Consultant

Duration: 9-12 months, starting in October

Hours: 30 hours/week on average

Location: 100% remote. Ideally located in PST time zone

Compensation: $110-140/HR W2 Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience. Scope: Partner closely with the CFO and finance team to transition accounting responsibilities from the organization’s current shared-services structure Provide hands-on leadership across core accounting and Controller activities within a publicly traded company environment Support SEC reporting, financial statement preparation, period-end close activities, and other external reporting requirements Help maintain effective SOX/404 processes, internal controls, and public-company accounting compliance throughout the transition Address accounting matters, including accounting considerations associated with royalty-based revenue arrangements Evaluate and enhance accounting processes to support a streamlined, primarily virtual finance organization Provide additional accounting and finance support as priorities evolve throughout the consulting engagement Qualifications & Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, required. CPA preferred Experience as a Controller or comparable senior accounting leader within a publicly traded pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences organization Strong knowledge of SEC reporting and public-company financial reporting requirements Solid understanding of public-company internal controls and SOX/404 compliance Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a lean environment and personally execute detailed accounting work when required Ability to successfully navigate organizational change and transitions involving shared-services, outsourced, or third-party accounting resources Royalty accounting experience preferred Exposure to tax considerations associated with royalty or similar revenue arrangements is a plus About Sayva: At Sayva Solutions, our consultants are a part of the Sayva team from before a project starts and as we partner together on future opportunities.
