In this role you shape how external audiences perceive Millipore Sigma's Life Science business and its contribution to science. You will craft communications across corporate storytelling, announcements, financial reporting, and reputation management. You'll guide issues and crisis communications and manage day-to-day execution with cross-functional partners. This position blends strategic thinking with hands-on project work, offering impact through cross-team collaboration and scalable communication workflows. Responsibilities:
- Develop external communications for priority topics and reputation
- Manage press releases from concept to publication
- Coordinate Life Science communications for financial results
- Create external materials such as briefings, Q&As, web content, and messaging frameworks
- Contribute to storytelling and reputation-building programs
- Coordinate communications for emerging issues and crises
- Maintain core messages, fact sheets, boilerplate, and resources
- Partner with Media Relations to align content with media strategy
- Develop and deploy AI tools to improve external communications workflows
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field or 8 years of equivalent experience 7+ years in external/corporate communications, public relations, or journalism
- Experience in life science, healthcare, or regulated industry
- Experience developing external communications plans and materials
- Understanding of AI concepts and practical applications in communications workflows and ethics
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional coordination
- Project management and organizational skills
- Strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Understanding of AI concepts in communications workflows
- Experience using AI tools in communications
- Media relations and earned media experience
