Accounting Manager

Location: Mesa, AZSetting: Onsite

Compensation: $120k - $140k + 10% annual bonus + 3 weeks PTO + 401k matching (50% match on first 6%)

Position Overview: The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, strong internal controls, and efficient financial processes. This role serves as a key business partner to leadership by providing financial analysis, budgeting support, and operational insights while leading and developing the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, payroll oversight, fixed assets, and budgeting activities. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and overall business results. Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Provide leadership with timely and accurate financial information to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and other applicable reporting obligations. Coordinate internal and external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors. Manage relationships with banking partners and other financial service providers. Oversee fixed asset accounting, capitalization policies, and depreciation schedules. Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial systems. Assist with risk management initiatives and financial compliance activities. Support system administration and appropriate controls within accounting and financial reporting platforms. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Leadership Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members. Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development activities. Manage team workflow and prioritize responsibilities to ensure deadlines are met accurately and efficiently. Provide performance feedback, coaching, and career development support. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities. Experience within manufacturing is requiredCPA designation is a plus.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced business environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
