Job Description:

  • At Ferraro Foods, our Inventory Control team plays an important role in keeping warehouse operations running smoothly by maintaining inventory accuracy, researching discrepancies, monitoring product dates, and helping ensure products are properly received, stored, and accounted for.
  • We’re looking for an Inventory Control Clerk who is analytical, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • What You’ll Be Working OnPerform daily cycle counts and research and reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Investigate driver shorts, out-of-stocks, random inventory issues, and other variances
  • Process inventory adjustments and receipt/inventory reconciliations
  • Use inventory and ERP systems, including RF scanners, to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Track inventory needs and communicate receiving or incoming product discrepancies
  • Monitor near-expiration and short-dated products and communicate concerns to Purchasing and Sales
  • Perform date-sensitive inventory checks and maintain accurate product rotation
  • Complete daily counts of key cheese and protein items
  • Review receiving and storage accuracy to ensure products are properly accounted for
  • Inspect produce quality and identify split cases needed for next-day shipping
  • Coordinate completion of required split cases by the end of the day
  • Help manage product storage and identify available rack space for incoming or existing inventory
  • Work closely with Warehouse Management and the Inventory Control Manager to maintain accurate and organized inventory
  • The Ingredients for Success
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse, inventory control, or related experience
  • Experience with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and researching inventory discrepancies
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management
  • Working knowledge of inventory, warehouse management, or ERP systems
  • Comfortable using RF scanners and learning warehouse technology
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively with Warehouse, Purchasing, Sales, and other departments
  • Experience using an electric pallet jack
  • Previous food industry or food distribution experience is a plus

Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour
