Legal Counsel

Avanos Medical seeks an in-house Legal Counsel to advise business teams on legal and regulatory matters for a global medical device company. The role covers FDA and other regulatory agency requests, compliance, commercial agreements, disputes, and guidance to internal legal staff and outside counsel. This position is hybrid in Alpharetta, Georgia. Advise on strategic initiatives and business execution in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Provide practical, risk-balanced legal recommendations to business partners. Support responses to government regulatory agencies, including the FDA, and represent the company before agencies. Advise on FDA, FTC, privacy, human resources, and fraud and abuse compliance matters. Draft and negotiate supplier and vendor agreements, including contracts with manufacturers, IT providers, and independent contractors. Advise on conflict avoidance and dispute resolution, including litigation, and provide work direction to legal staff and outside counsel.
