Position Responsibilities:
Performs 100% visual inspection on all welds. Repairs any welds (mig) that do not meet required nuts for spatter removal. Inspects parts for quality concerns. Detects and reports defective materials to supervisor. Conducts machine operation and safety checks on prescribed intervals. Performs general clean-up and organization of work area (SCORE- Safety, Cleanliness, Organization, Responsiveness, and Efficiency).Other duties as assigned to maintain production.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED preferred
- Ability to manually apply a quality weld either through work experience or related education
- Follow all safety requirements of the company – PPE, (hat, glasses, steel-toed boots, uniform, hearing protection, gloves, weld sleeves) safe job behaviors, etc.
- Able to read and understand operation standards and job instructions.
- Able use basic tools.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and meet production quotas.
Work Environment: Plant environment. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, noise, smoke, etc.
