Senior Engineer (Mechanic)

Key Job Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic, service, and repair work on MTU diesel engines (Series 2000, 4000, etc.) and ZF gearboxes. Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Conduct engine overhauls, gearbox inspections, and mechanical rebuilds. Analyze technical issues using diagnostic tools and software. Prepare detailed service reports, root cause analyses, and repair documentation. Coordinate with manufacturers for technical updates, part sourcing, and warranty claims. Support on-site and off-site service interventions, including shipyards or remote client locations. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards. Train and supervise junior technicians and field engineers as needed

Desired Candidate Profile: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience with MTU diesel engines and ZF gearboxes. Factory training or certification from MTU (Rolls-Royce Power Systems) and/or ZF is highly preferred. Strong understanding of diesel engine systems, fuel injections, turbochargers, control systems, and marine propulsion. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus. Willingness to travel and work on-site in remote or offshore locations as needed.
