- Assist new employees
- Continue work hardening and all other training necessary to prepare the trainee for positions
- Assist supervisor in following and documenting a training program
- Learn to operate all machines and scales in the department
- Provide new employees with exemplary work behavior including attendance, safety, and personal hygiene
- Administer directions for the proper care and use of PPE'SCommunicate to the supervisor as to the progress of the employees
- Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as required
- Help with coverage in the absence of the supervisor
- Assist supervisor in daily operations, floor coverage, running through breaks, and running equipment as needed
- Ability to work with pork products
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to learn and do all jobs in the department
- Good verbal and written communication skills/Ability to speak and write English
- Complete knowledge of machine safety procedures and operations
- Good work history
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to obtain forklift, rider jack, PV3R, and hand jack license
- Basic math skills
- No performance work actions in the last 6 months
- No attendance work actions in the last 6 monthsPHYSICAL: No restrictions lifting 50 pounds
- No restrictions pushing 500 pound v-mags
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience on a department safety committee
- Six months experience in the department or equivalent training
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent problem solving skills and public speaking ability
