Westhill High School: Extra Class Assignment: 0.2 FTE Art Teacher: Adaptive Art (Vacancy: 3B)

Notes: Leave Coverage Extra Class Assignments will terminate mid-year if the teacher on leave returns to work.*Special Education Extra Class Assignments may be terminated mid-year if the position is able to be filled with an external candidate.

Qualifications: Must be a Teacher at Westhill High School

Certification Required: 042 Art, PreK-12

Compensation: For a 0.1 FTE Extra Class Assignment: Stipend equal to 10% of Teacher's Base Annual Salary. For a 0.2 FTE Extra Class Assignment: Stipend equal to 20% of Teacher's Base Annual Salary.

Note: The stipend is pensionable if the additional class is being taught for the entire school year or semester as per the Connecticut Teachers Retirement Board.

Note: Leave Coverage Extra Class Assignments are not processed as pensionable as the length of the assignment is not known at the start. If a Leave Coverage Extra Class Assignment becomes a Vacancy Extra Class Assignment, the stipend will be processed as pensionable retroactively. Note: Teachers dually certified in TESOL, Bilingual Education or ESL, with experience in Sheltered Instruction or fluency in a language other than English, will be given preference for all Stamford Public School positions.
