Boiler Operator

Job Description: Possess an uncompromised commitment to SAFETY adhering to all mill safety policies and attends safety training as scheduled. All Boilers MUST enforce strict housekeeping. To function in an environment of employee-based leadership and continuous improvement initiatives Knowledge in working safe in a safe team environment Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and responsibility on every aspect of the job Responsible to complete assigned work with minimal supervision Operate and maintain all boilers and boiler related equipment Fire boiler to insure reliable steam supply Routine equipment checks, inspections, lubrication, and maintenance Demonstrate problem solving skill sets Log boiler related changes on shift log Perform tests and adjustments to maintain proper chemical balance in boiler water, steam, and feedwater Insure operation of boiler and air pollution control equipment are within state and federal guidelines Comply with provisions of Greif Standards of Business Conduct Policy

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Knowledge and ability to work safe in a team environment Possess clear oral and written communication skills Computer skills in MS Word and Excel Carry out assignments with minimal supervision Basic reading and math skills Experience in reading charts, meters, and gauges Use of common hand and power tools (electric drills, grinders, etc.) Ability to understand, retain, and perform complex procedures related to boiler operation Knowledge of hands-on mechanical information Experience with steam systems Forklift and front-end loader experience

Compensation Range: The pay range for this position is $19.23 - $30.77 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $27.43 to $27.43. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
