Job Description
Position Summary:
The Laboratory Technician I, using general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America's Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures, supports laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Retrieves samples from Sample Control for analysis.
Performs sample preparation which may include, but is not limited to, a combination of the following methods:
- Aliquot samples
- Spike and trace samplesPrepare reagents
- Bottle samplesPrepare concentrations
SeparationSonicationLiquid rack set upResolves discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.
Prepares general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
Washes laboratory glassware to prepare for next day's samples.
Stocks laboratory supplies.
Cleans work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.
Assists other laboratory areas as needed.
This role will be located at the Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories Environment testing lab in Lancaster, PA. Must be willing to train offsite at the Richmond, VA Industrial Hygiene lab.
Qualifications:
Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):Education/Experience (BMQ):Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: High school Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience
Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):General knowledge of chemistry and/or general science Basic mathematical skills Production work Good organizational skills Good communication skills Problem solving skills Ability to multi-task Quick learner Work independently Work within time constraints Must be willing to train in Richmond, VA.

Requirements:
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
- Position is full-time Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply. Must be willing to train in Richmond, VA.
Pay range: $18-21/hr.
