Traveling Loader Operator Apply: Columbia, MO: Kansas City, MO: Lawrence, KS: Full time: Posted Today: JR3431Emery Sapp & Sons is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Loader Operator to support operations at two concrete plant locations: the MCI Airport Concrete Plant in Kansas City, MO and the Lawrence Concrete Plant in Lawrence, KS. This position is responsible for operating a front-end loader to move, stockpile, and load aggregate materials while supporting daily concrete production. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to travel between the MCI Airport and Lawrence plant locations as operational needs require. Location & Travel* Primary work locations are: MCI Airport Concrete Plant (Kansas City, MO) Lawrence Concrete Plant (Lawrence, KS)* This position regularly works between both plant locations.* Reliable transportation is required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities* Safely operate a front-end loader in a concrete plant environment.* Maintain aggregate stockpiles and load material into bins, hoppers, and trucks.* Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.* Report maintenance and repair needs promptly.* Assist with plant operations, housekeeping, and material management.* Follow all company safety policies and procedures.* Communicate effectively with plant personnel and truck drivers.* Support production needs at both the MCI Airport and Lawrence concrete plants.Qualifications* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred* 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, with experience in a construction setting preferred* Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications* Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement* Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
