Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually

Position Overview:
The Production Supervisor will oversee the daily activities of production employees while helping ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This individual will be responsible for leading and developing employees, supporting production schedules, maintaining accurate workforce and labor documentation, and ensuring established safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements are consistently met. The ideal candidate will be a strong people leader who can balance production priorities with employee development, safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, coach, and support a team of production employees. Coordinate employee training and ensure team members understand job responsibilities, safety expectations, and quality standards. Ensure employees remain current on required operational and safety training. Review production schedules and coordinate appropriate staffing to meet operational demands. Communicate quality and production expectations clearly to employees. Monitor daily production activities and respond to issues affecting safety, quality, productivity, or customer requirements. Review and approve employee timecards and labor reporting. Monitor daily staffing and make necessary adjustments or corrections. Gather and review production and quality data to identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain appropriate documentation related to employee coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions. Promote effective communication throughout the department and across operations. Encourage teamwork and provide leadership on departmental and operational projects. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Reinforce company safety policies and safe work practices.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience OR at least 2 years of experience as a production equipment operator. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to train, coach, and develop employees. Experience handling employee performance, counseling, or disciplinary documentation. Experience reviewing timecards, labor reporting, or similar workforce documentation. Strong commitment to workplace safety. Stable employment history with demonstrated job longevity. Ability to work second shift and provide occasional weekend coverage when required.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in one or more of the following areas is highly preferred: Manufacturing or production supervision. High-volume manufacturing or production environments. Quality and regulatory compliance. Production scheduling and staffing. Leadership of a larger hourly workforce. Production and quality data collection and analysis. Payroll or electronic timekeeping systems. Continuous improvement or process improvement. Cross-functional project leadership.
Work Environment:
This position works primarily within an active manufacturing and distribution environment. Candidates should be comfortable with: Extended periods of standing and walking. Working in varying temperatures. Moderate to loud production environments. Occasional lifting of up to approximately 25 pounds. Wearing required personal protective equipment.
