Dudek & Bock Spring Manufacturing Company is looking for an experienced, organized, and hands-on 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our second-shift manufacturing operations. This position requires more than production-floor experience. We are looking for a strong leader who combines manufacturing knowledge with excellent administrative, organizational, communication, and follow-through skills and can effectively manage the day-to-day responsibilities of a busy manufacturing shift. The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for directing daily production activities and coordinating workflow to ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, on time, and according to quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities: • Direct and oversee second-shift production operations, including staffing, scheduling, workflow, equipment utilization, and production priorities• Coordinate production activities to meet quality, cost, delivery, and volume expectations• Monitor production schedules, priorities, and progress and communicate updates, issues, and results to management• Provide clear direction, expectations, and accountability to second-shift employees• Train, coach, develop, and evaluate employees while addressing performance and operational concerns• Maintain accurate documentation and complete required administrative responsibilities in a timely manner• Communicate effectively with management and cross-functional departments, including Scheduling, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, Human Resources, Shipping, and Warehouse• Coordinate with first-shift supervisors to ensure an effective transition between shifts and continuity of operations• Identify production issues, follow through on corrective actions, and ensure problems are brought to resolution• Support and implement continuous-improvement initiatives designed to increase productivity, efficiency, quality, and profitability• Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, PPE requirements, housekeeping standards, and established operating procedures• Promote a safe, accountable, collaborative, and productive work environment
What We’re Looking For: • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience required• Previous supervisory, production leadership, or operations-management experience strongly preferred• Experience in metalworking, spring manufacturing, wire forming, stamping, or a related manufacturing environment is highly desirable• Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation, priorities, schedules, and multiple responsibilities• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through• Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining professional working relationships• Strong planning, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with both employees and management• Working knowledge of manufacturing safety and quality expectations• Experience with Epicor Kinetic is a plus• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred; equivalent manufacturing and leadership experience will be considered The Right Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who can balance floor leadership with the administrative responsibilities of supervision.
