Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Salary: $200,000 to $250,000 annually
Based in San Diego, CA, we are a well-established national accounting and advisory firm known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The San Diego audit department is expanding and seeking an experienced Audit Managing Director to join a growing team handling sophisticated audit, review and compilation engagements. This role is ideal for a seasoned audit leader who values client relationships, team development and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engagement teams through audits, reviews and compilations, including fieldwork, testing and documentation review, with accuracy and efficiency
- Identify key audit risk areas, formulate overall audit approaches, and present conclusions and client issues to Partners
- Develop engagement budgets and pricing strategies while supporting firm growth through proposals, networking and business development
- Train, mentor and evaluate team members while building strong client relationships and staying current on regulatory changes and audit trends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field with a CPA license 5+ years of public accounting experience including a supervisory role managing teams across multiple engagements
- Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with Caseware/CaseView knowledge a plus
