Monroe University is hiring: Assistant Athletic Trainer in New York

Primary Responsibilities: Prevention of athletic injuries and illnesses. Evaluation and Treatment of athletic injuries Assist in yearly physicals Providing counseling and education to student athletes Assisting in the coordination and scheduling of medical coverage for home and away competitions including set up and breakdown of water, ice, training table, medical supplies etc. Home game and Practice Coverages Travel to National Tournaments Record-keeping and EMR documentation Work with doctors and other allied health professionals to deliver care to student athletes Maintain inventory, ordering and stocking of supplies Maintenance of the Athletic Training Room Ability to make sound decisions in the best interest of the program

Required Qualifications: Masters degree/Bachelors degree in appropriate area of specialization with experience in collegiate athletics Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) New York State Athletic Training Licensure National Provider Identity (NPI) Familiarity with NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA governing rules Ability to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, have the ability to travel, and possess communication skills to work with a diverse constituency including students, parents, coaches, faculty, staff, administration, and outside contacts
