Electrical Engineer – Consulting Engineering

Key Responsibilities: General Engineering Responsibilities Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency and standby power, UPS, renewable energy systems, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems (IT, security, access control, life safety).Prepare, review, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Apply sound engineering principles, standard methodologies, and industry best practices to solve complex design challenges. Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and internal engineering teams through clear verbal and written communication. Design and specify system components to meet project requirements, budgets, and schedules. Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and field conditions for conformance with contract documents. Pre‑Design & Design Support (Project‑Scale Dependent) Review existing as‑built documentation and perform field investigations. Prepare feasibility studies, schematic designs, and early‑stage engineering concepts. Develop single‑line diagrams, load calculations, and system layouts. Perform energy and power system calculations, modeling, and analysis (as applicable).Support coordination of design schedules and multidisciplinary deliverables. Advanced / Senior-Level Responsibilities (Experience Dependent) Lead small to medium‑size projects from concept through construction. Perform complex power system studies (Short Circuit, Coordination, Arc Flash).Prepare construction estimates, specifications, and technical narratives. Mentor junior engineers and support technical development within the team. Participate in client engagement and business development activities.
