This contract position is offered on-site, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to our dedicated healthcare team while making a significant impact on patient care in the field of radiation oncology. As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with cancer, utilizing advanced radiation therapy techniques. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans, ensuring the highest standard of care. Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments.
Develop and implement tailored radiation therapy treatment plans.
Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
Educate patients and their families about treatment options.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.
Stay current with advancements in radiation oncology practices.
Ensure compliance with all medical regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution.
Medical license to practice in the state of Missouri.
Previous experience in radiation oncology is preferred.
Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Commitment to patient-centered care.
Fellowship training in Radiation Oncology is a plus.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7a-4p & Friday, 7a-12pWeeknight call
Daily Volume: ~ 21 patients ( ~8 outpatient visits)
Responsibilities:
- New patient consultations, follow-ups, OTV, and imaging review
- Case Types: Breast, lung, CNS, skin etc.
- Procedures Required: CT simulation & 3D conformal planning
- Dedicated support staff
- Must be board-certified
- Paid travel & expenses
