Your Responsibilities:
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care plans
Assessing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently (based on certification)
Providing education to patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
Issuing prescriptions for treatments and medications within your scope of practice
Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management initiatives
Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications:
Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or comparable
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the capability to obtain within 90 days)
