Senior Musical Instrument Retail Sales Associate

Music & Arts is seeking a part-time Senior Sales Associate for our retail store. In this role, you’ll help students, parents, and educators find the right instruments, accessories, and rentals while promoting private lessons and repair services. You’ll deliver outstanding customer service, maintain strong product knowledge, support daily store operations, and help meet sales goals. Working in a collaborative, education-focused environment, you’ll play a key role in supporting local music programs and growing your career in mission-driven retail. Drive in-store sales of instruments, accessories, and rentals to meet targets Provide expert product recommendations for band, orchestra, and related gear Promote and enroll customers in private lessons and education programs Deliver outstanding customer service to students, parents, and educators Support daily store operations, merchandising, and inventory management Accurately process transactions, rentals, and service orders in POS systems Coordinate with school service reps to support school music programs Maintain product knowledge on instruments, repairs, and promotions Assist with events, clinics, and community outreach activities Support training and mentoring of junior sales associates Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Customer relationship management Musical instrument product knowledge Cash handling and reconciliation Merchandising and inventory management Inside sales and add-on selling Lesson and program enrollment Communication and presentation Basic computer proficiency Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Background in music performance or education preferred Experience with band and orchestra instruments preferred
