Lead 1 - Quality Inspector - 3094

Quality Inspector Coordinates and leads the activities for designated work area. Performs a variety of quality control tests on products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. Perform inspections of finished or in-process goods to ensure work instructions are met Ensure products and services meet required specifications Use required gaging instruments Complete gage calibration when needed Complete first piece inspection if needed (i.e., checks that items produced pass quality control requirements)Record statistical data and inputs data entry Analyze data and write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards Recommend modifications to existing, or suggests new, standards, methods and procedures Provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to subordinate group May provide employee discipline and review performance Implement process improvement initiatives as needed Ensure that department output meets organizational expectation Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Perform work under minimal supervision Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff Possess comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter 2 to 4 years of experience Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group Ability to interpret work instructions Ability to follow written and verbal directions Intermediate verbal and written communication skills Problem-solving skills Analytical thinking skills Leadership skills Advanced use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments
